[12-29-2002] Update on the MedALERT PC (Patient Card) software application.   Added the information about using plastic laminate sheets to incase the MedALERT PC Cards.   More information is located at the faq's section under MedALERTpc1 faq's.   I will also send out an email to all registered MedALERT PC (Patient Card) software application owners about the information on finding plastic laminate sheets.

[12-26-2002] The MedALERT PC (Patient Card) software application has been accepted on the Simtel download site.   This now makes two completed applications that Onclick.Software has now made public, I am very excited about this

[12-20-2002] The Onclick.Software website has been updated to include these new news events.   The addition of the MedALERT PC (Patient Card) is now ready for the public market.

The MedALERT PC (Patient Card) software application has been completed including all the Setup.exe and ZIP files being created.  The MedALERTpc1.zip file is ready to download.

[12-18-2002] The MedALERT PC (Patient Card) software application has it's last component finished, the icon is now created.   As you may know, the registration code came in for the IconCool Editor program.

[12-06-2002] Unfortunately the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medical Log) software application is has not passed Tucows ratings (Rating of 29) as stated from an email I received today.   I am sad to see this but it has not effected me in a negative way as it has passed Freeware Home and Simtel without any issues which is a Positive in my book.

[12-02-2002] The Onclick.Software website has been updated to include these new news events.   The nov2002 events are now archived if want to view them, please go to the nov2002 link below.

The MedALERT PC (Patient Card) software application is at a stand still as i am waiting for a 'registration code' for a software to create an 'icon' for the MedALERT PC (Patient Card) software application.  I need the icon to finish the application, also i can not precede in creating the Setup.exe file.

[11-28-2002] Once again the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) Version 1.0.0 application has been updated to  PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) Version 1.0.2.    This time after uploading the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) Version 1.0.0 application I went to click on the desktop icon and it gave me an error.   After checking on a few things, I found out that the RxMedsBottle.bmp image could not be found by the desktop icon created by the setup.exe file.   It turned out to be an issue when the setup file was created as it did not set the correct path in the desktop icon.   If you created a shortcut desktop  icon manually, it worked fine.   I had enough of this image file as it was the cause of the very first issue, so I went back to recode the image file to be 'Included' within the .EXE file.  after doing that, the issue was no more.   So now, the End-User can choose any folder or directory they like to install the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) Version 1.0.0 application in without worrying about errors.

[11-26-2002] The PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) Version 1.0.0 application has been updated to  PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) Version 1.0.2.   This was due to minor spelling and grammar errors, and some coding clean up.  the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) Version 1.0.2 application has been uploaded and is ready to download.

[11-25-2002] Today I received Jon Rogers reply and he stated he was running XP Professional.    I replied to him advising him that the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application ran on Windows95 or 98 operating systems and not on NT based systems as Windows NT, NT Server, XP Professional, Windows2000 Professional and Windows2000 Server were.   I want to personally thank Jon Rogers for his email as it allowed Onclick.Software the opportunity of feedback from end-users like himself.

[11-24-2002] Had an email from Jon Rogers about trying to run the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application.   He could not and was also receiving the error "Exception EPrivilege in module PreMeds1.exe at 0008614a.Privileged Instruction.", I advise him if he could tell me what operating system he was running.

[11-23-2002] The Onclick.Software website has been updated to include these new news events.   Also updated the PreMeds1 faq's to include a new  'Update' feature allowing anyone to view the current updates on that selected application.

I am very excited as the MedALERT PC (Patient Card) application is now 99% finished as all the code has been completed and the only thing left is creating a Start Program.   This application is great as I have been testing it now for two days and it works fantastically.   I am very eager to release this application to market.

[11-21-2002] ok, I am very excited as the MedALERT PC (Patient Card) application is 98% finished as all the code has been completed and the only thing left is creating a Help File and Start Program.   Most of the code went in like silk, so smooth.   Had hardly any debugging issues, that is the one nice thing about reusable coding modules.   now to work on the Help File which will take the longest time.

[11-20-2002] The MedALERT PC (Patient Card) application is nearly finished as I have completed the Main Form, About Form, Registration Form, Main Menu and the internal coding.   now to clean up a bit as some of the code has holes in it (too many spaces that is).   this should be a great little application.

[11-19-2002] Well once again I am side tracked off on another project.   This time it is MedALERT PC (Patient Card) application, which can provide a very valuable service to those who have multiple health issues and/or medications to deal with.   Many of you have seen those medical tags that some wear allowing those who come to there aid can read the tag with information about your condition.   The biggest problem is that it only gives limited information about your medical history.  Well, that is were the MedALERT PC application shines as it does the same as a medical tag but it's in a Credit Card style, with all your medical condition's and medication history right there were you need it most in the case of an emergency.   I will be working on this for now as it is a very simple but powerful application that can assist those that need that little extra.

[11-18-2002] The Onclick.Software website has been updated to include these new news events.   Have added in addition to the online registration an email registration method that you can either use the DOC format form or the TXT format form.  I did this incase the online registration was not available.

Not much news about the gMonitor1 application today, but soon there will be.

[11-16-2002] The eRegistration application for in-house use is done!   I decided to stop messing with it and just use it the way it is for in-house use.  I will of course in time continue working on it but at this time I need to start working on the gMonitor1 application.

[11-14-2002] Well, once again there are issues with the upload to Tucows as they have stated in an email that they could not read the file to run the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application.   I have not replied back to them as I am wondering what to do, so far I am stumped as to what the problem is so hopefully in time there is some resolution to this issue.    Now to the eRegistration application, I have spent to much time on this 'in-house' project as at first thought I could do it within a short time but it turned out to be a labor of not love but of false promises.   After getting the database to work as to SAVE the fields, I am at a point that I can not figure out why it is not allowing me to read the files of the one database to be use in the other.   I may just give up for now and use the eRegistration application as it was intended to be which was to be an 'in-house' application.

[11-12-2002] I have decided to work on making the eRegistration application better and also to be marketed.  In doing so I will have to change a few things so as end-users may update there own applications into the eRegistration application themselves.   I am not sure if I can do it within a small time frame but I will try.

[11-10-2002] Wow!  The eRegistration application is done!   I can't believe it as of 11:30 am today the last coding was done and it works beautifully.   ok, I will have to say that this is the functional coding which means it's the coding that makes the application worth while.  There are some aspects of the application that are just a 'ghost' such as the Help, About, Configuration that are not coded and more likely never will be as this is just an in-house application.   Now back to the gMonitor1 application as there seems to more work then I thought so there I shell be.

[11-09-2002] While dealing with the issue's of the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application upload, I realized that I needed to get some kind of program to log all the registrations.   ok yes it's true that I might be looking ahead a little to far but one never knows.   I had started a project called C.A.T.S.1 (Customer And Technical Support Service/Software) wasn't to sure what to use either Service or Software would work so I just left it be for now.   But I know that the C.A.T.S.1 (Customer And Technical Support Service/Software) application was no were near being completed and also it was to be a Complete Package Application with many features.   So I started a lite version simply called eRegistration which will suit the needs perfectly right now.   Got the main form and the half of the coding done so far.

[11-08-2002] Had some more issues while trying to get the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application uploaded to Tucows and Simtel again.   after some recoding I think I have the issue under control.   I found out that I had to resubmit the upload to each website.   I haven't received any emails stating there is still an issue so that must mean some good news.    While waiting for news about PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application upload issues,. I worked on the gMonitor1 application getting the database function operational.

[11-07-2002] The Onclick.Software website has been updated to include these new news events and the PreMeds1.zip file in the downloads section has been updated to reflect an issue reported by Tucows.Com when trying to run the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application.

Well, I received some good and some not so good news today.  After checking my email I had found out the Simtel, and Tucows had reviewed the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application, which is the good part.   The not so good part is that Simtel reported to me that I had sent my Upload Form with errors, which amounted to being that I had entered the field of the URL using Upper&Lower case letters.   Simtel was nice enough to inform me about this error and advised me to correct it in the premeds1.xml file that was sent to them.   Tucows advised me of an error when trying to run the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application, which was  "Exception EFOpenError in module PREMEDS1.EXE at 0000FFF5. Cannot open file C:\RapidQ\RxMedsBottle.bmp".  When I saw the error I knew right away what it was and it was a simple mistake on my part.  when coding the application one has to be careful of what one does when pointing to files in default folders or directory's.   When coding the application I did not go back and recode the folders to which the RxMedsBottle.bmp image was to be found when the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application was installed on end user systems.   This is now been corrected in both the Tucows download version and here in the downloads section.

[11-06-2002] The Onclick.Software website has been updated to include these new website changes.   I have changed the faq's options to reflect that of the last posted news entry.   The faq's are now separated into there own groups, this will allow the faq's page not to grow larger then need be.

No new news to report about the gMonitor1 application or any other Onclick.Software application.

[11-05-2002] The Onclick.Software website has been updated to include these new news events.  There are some concerns that I have about the faq's section of the Onclick.Software website, one is that I believe that each software application that is created and then finally marketed should have it's own faq's section dealing with that software applications own issues.  The faq's that are already there are for Onclick.Software website alone.    This came to be as I was thinking that there maybe other faq's that will be generated within the life of each software application.   This in time would create a very large faq's section making it useless to use in searching for related topics upon each software applications.   This would make it possible to have current troubleshooting information to those that need aid or assistance with any Onclick.Software software application.

The gMonitor1 application has the Find/Search Form created and installed.   this can be used in two ways, one to search or find an entry to view on the main screen and the other to select as the start and end dates to print out.   both functions will incorporate the same coding only the 'Find or Select' windows will look different.  note too that the gMonitor1 Main Menu has a new look then before, as it has more options in the Entry, Print and a new Menu Option in that of View.   The View option will allow an user to select the Main View Window format, as in 'How do you want to VIEW your entry log?'.   You can VIEW your entry logs in the following ways: Current Week Log View, Current Month Log View, Selected Entry Log View, Complete Entry Log View or Clear Entry Log View.   Each option is self-explanatory, which leads us to that of a easy to use and view software application.   When you open the gMonitor1 application it will show you an empty screen, the screen or VIEW is up to you on how to review it.   if the gMonitor1 application was left with the default option to list ALL the log entries, it would, in time be a very long list, so long in fact that it would take several minutes to just scroll through it.   This is why the above options were included to make viewing the log easy and painless.

[11-03-2002] As I wait for conformation about the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) being listed on three Download Sites, I started working on the Glucose gMonitor Version 1.0.0 application.   From now on the Glucose gMonitor Version 1.0.0 application will be shorten to gMonitor1, for one thing it's easier on the fingers trying to type it every time and it's what you will see as the file name when it is ready for distribution.   I finished the coding of the gMonitor1 About window and gMonitor1 Registration PopUp window.   You may ask why those two, well it's simple as I have the core code done, all I had to do was to swap out the PreMeds1 labels and add in gMonitor1 labels which don't take long.   What many of you might not know it that 75% of the gMonitor1 code is finished.   why you ask is so much code done already, well gMonitor1 was the first application I was working on before moving over to the PreMeds1 project.   If all goes well I might have the gMonitor application ready before the first of December but that is if all goes well.

[11-02-2002] Well I did it which is a first for me as I submitted the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application to three upload sites which are Simtel.Net, Tucows.Com and FreeWareHome,Com.   It was mostly a painless procedure but it allowed me the first time to really market one of my software applications.   We'll see within a week as it will take that long to process the application into the sites.

[11-01-2002] The Onclick.Software website has been updated to include these new news events.   Also the first archived news events was included today.   Click on the oct2002 below to view last months news events..

The PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application is now 100% complete and is now ready for distribution.   the last  coding was completed earlier yesterday morning which included the PreMeds1 Help file and PreMeds1 Installation Program.   The final thing left to do was to Win-Zip the files into one neat and tight single file to download.   For more information about the PreMeds1 Application click here!

After a short rest period I will return to coding the other Onclick.Software applications that were put aside while coding the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application.   it turned out to be the best thing as many issues that I was faced with now are no longer issues, making it possible to continue coding on the other projects.   Glucose gMonitor will more likely be next as it was the closest to being finish before my jump to the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application.   This too is a very powerful application as it will keep track of diabetics glucose meter readings, which I myself am a type 2 diabetic.

[10-31-2002] The PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application is now 100% complete and is now ready for distribution.   The last  coding was completed earlier this morning which included the PreMeds1 Help file and PreMeds1 Installation Program.   The final thing left to do was to Win-Zip the files into one neat and tight single file to download.   For more information about the PreMeds1 Application click here!

Now.. for some rest before I begin work on the other Onclick.Software applications.

[10-26-2002] The PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application is now 99% finished as the final coding has been completed.  The Find Entry option under the Medications Menu option has been successfully completed and being one of the most difficult options to code.  In finishing 98% of the coding of the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application I started to understand much of the coding rhythm so when it was time to code the last part I understood the call functions of the database components.  Leaving this to last was a god send as it allowed me to understand more then if I had just had someone else work on the issue.   Now I understand the function of calling to the database and it's limits.   Yes, everything has it's limits and so does the programming language used to create this application.   Once that was known it wasn't to much to figure out what to do as to create a find feature.   Example:  The only true way of finding info in this database was to 'get' the record number, which is ok but a search or find function was called for as to this get function.   After reading the code, as it were, I found that it was possible to create a find function around the get function.  Here is how it works:  enter a name for to find or search, then start a loop process to scan the database using the record number to 'get' the first number entry and it's key entry.   Ok now open the database to read the first record numbers key entry, compare it with the search entry, if it matches then print to screen, if not add 1 to the loop and search the database again until a match is found.  if no match is found show message "No match was found.  Please try again".  It looks simple but it really depends on the programming language you use and every one is different.   The only thing that is left is creating the help file, but this is a separate code that has really nothing to do with the main code.   The help file is really more or less a document that aids or assists you while you are within the application and has no functional part at all.   But it has become a very important part of every application sold or other wise.  The basic frame is set, it is just writing the information to include into the frame is the daunting task ahead.

[10-25-2002] The PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application is now 98% finished as the 3 print functions are coded and working under the Print Menu option.  There will be a Print Current Entry Log function to which one can print out what is displayed on the current screen a very handy option to have.   a Print Quick Review Log that will print out all the prescription medications logged in the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application database, it will print it out in the form of a report similar to that of a accountants ledger.  The Print Quick Review Log will include only the necessary information needed to give you, doctors, specialist or hospitals an idea of the prescription medications you are on.  Also a Print Complete History Log that will print out a complete history of each prescription medication you are on in detail.   this is a very powerful application as that it will log and record a complete history of all of your prescription medication taken within your entire life.  That is if you start with the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application before, but even if you didn't have a chance to start right away it will still aid you in logging your current prescription medications for future use.   That is the key, to start using it now and when down the line issues come up making you deal with prescription medications, you are set and ahead of the game as you are ready to face anything.   I am very pleased at how this application turned out because at first I thought it would not come to be, but it did.  Yes, there were times of total frustration but something inside kept the flame of hope burning.

[10-24-2002] The Onclick.Software website has been updated as to correct more minor spelling, grammar and word syntax errors.   It's funny as no matter how long one looks and checks over something, there will still be something you will miss.

The PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application has the configuration function finished and working.   I am very happy to get that part done as it leaves only the print function left to code.  All though most of the print code is coded there are some cleaning up to do.   There will be at least two options with this first version,

  1. One to print out a quick log to show all the prescription medications taken.  this will have only the basic info needed to show what prescription medications are taken, the dosage, how to take the prescription medication, the physician who prescribe it and why the physician prescribe it.

  2. And then a second to print out a complete listing of each prescription medication with each sheet containing all the prescription medications history from what is described above to more detailed info.  each prescription medication logged will have it's own sheet which can be included in a report binder.   All major functions of the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application have been completed, this is very good news.   As stated only the print option has to be coded., but even that will not take long.

[10-23-2002] The Onclick.Software website has been updated as to correct minor spelling, grammar and word syntax.   As time moves on the website is turning out to be something that I had not expected, but pleasantly enjoying for the first time.   I have other websites now for over a year and they too have gone though many changes some still not the way I want them to be.

Acknowledgement: this is really to acknowledge that FreeWebs.Com has been a very important part of the creation of the Onclick.Software website.  the other websites (the other websites I have) hosts can not compare to FreeWebs.Com.  many features (post message (guestbook), forms, large 100mg storage, banner free and specially no ads) would cost money!  I am very pleased indeed with FreeWebs.Com and will keep doing business with them and will spread the word of there great offering.   if this sounds like a sales pitch then it might be but one must remember that if some one has done what one has spoken of then they should be recognized for it.  to me it's "a job well done!" as there is no one else even close to what FreeWebs.Com does.  if you would like to check there website out here is there url: http://www.freewebs.com

[10-22-2002] Once again the Onclick.Software website has revised the look of it's main menu option in that the products option has been changed to that of applications.   There is also an addition to the Onclick.Software news page in that archived copies of this page will help to keep the page length in check.   As time moves on this page will grow, so archiving this page by each month seams to be a practical solution.   So far there is only 1 news archive link and that is to oct2002, which may or may not be updated fully until next month being that this month is not over yet.   Update:  Just finished with the comments page so questions, comments or one's views could be entered.

The PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application is still being worked on.

The CATS1 (Customer And Technical Support System) application is a new creation in the works.   It can be used by small companies needing to have an in-house customer and technical support team, or both as one person, to keep track of customer accounts, customer issues and technical problems that may come up.   It's just a form with an entry field right now, but I wanted to get the idea down on paper as it were.

[10-19-2002] The Onclick.Software website has added a new feature to make registration an easy and simple as 1, 2, 3...   on the registration page there is an option now to enter your information required for registration and then sending it out as a web form.  I am very pleased at this as it will make registering more easier.   There is also a confirmation page as well, this is a required page as many times it is hard to know if your information entered has been processed or not.    Have cleaned up a few pages to make the website more uniform looking in so making each page match with all other pages, as some where off a bit.

The PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application is really coming along nicely.   The about and registration features are finished.    The configuration and print complete are still needing to be installed as they are modular code that can be inserted and adjusted to the application.   Have added a new print option called print current entry and have deleted the print select as the coding needs more work and the dead line I have set for distribution is around the first week in November.

The Glucose gMonitor (Glucose Monitor Log) application has had some work on it as well.   As I work on one application I find myself not working on one but several projects at once.   Much of the coding done will be modular in nature meaning that creating applications is not all done by scratch, as for the configuration, registration and about windows can be coded so that with just a small amount of recoding to each will allow them to function in almost any application created.

The MedALERT PC (Medical Alert Patient Care) application has been in holding as many of the coding needed is being worked on as I create the other two applications.   As stated at least a  third of the coding done is done by creating modular code that can be reused on other applications.   This simplifies the work so recreating code each time will not be needed and debugging can be minimal.

[10-16-2002] The Onclick.Software website has now the basic look and feel it will grow with.   Changed the plain text areas by adding table boxes around them, making for a more cleaner and easier page to follow.

The PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application is coming along nicely as most of the functions are completed leaving only the config, print complete and print select left to code.

[10-15-2002] Once again Onclick.Software website had added another menu option -  news, which created this web page to archive all of Onclick.Software historical news events.

The PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application registration popup window and about window are finished.    there are finished because of the ico and bmg images have been created and saved to the correct color size (16 colors).   This was an issue at first as the compiler would not except tc (true color) images.

[10-13-2002] Shortly after Onclick.Software website had added another menu option -  faq's.

The main form of the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) has been completed as well as the database coding for it.   working on a way to register the application allowing to track the process of people using the PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log) application.   This will include a way to change the main window caption to read (UnRegistered Version) before registering and then to change it when the user registers it by adding there name to the main window caption.

[10-10-2002] Onclick.Software Official Start Date...  Onclick.Software website was created.   Starting with only 5 menu options - About, Products, Registration, Downloads and Contact.

But it will take more then just a well placed web site, as what's behind Onclick.Software is it's drive to succeed as to what's ahead of Onclick.Software is daunting at best.  The first application Onclick.Software will premiere is PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log).   This is a very special application serving a very special need.   Many people (myself included) take numerous amounts of prescription medication daily, in so that keep track can be a daily chore on it's own.  This application will help many by logging there prescription medications to a log, this allows for two things.

  1. A log that can be printed out to give to physicians, specialists and/or hospitals when needing to supply information about one's 'medications' taken.

  2. A way to archive one's prescription medications history.   To many a time has past when you are faced with changing physicians, specialists and/or hospitals that prescribe one medication to find out that this new prescription medication causes side effects, but only if the physician, specialist and/or hospital had a record or log of all the prescription medications you take.

Well, you do now... with PreMeds1 (Prescription Medication Log).
